I cannot find words to recommend Gillian highly enough. I have been on a gut misdiagnosis journey for many-many years and only when I started seeing and talking to Gillian did the pieces of the puzzle start falling into place. She has been very responsive where other health providers have not and she helped me find both the correct place for medical tests (GastroLife) and consultant to diagnose and treat my illness (and not just the symptoms - where other doctors failed).

I went to see Ava here with my then 4 year old son relating to his food aversions, she was very thorough - went through his full medical details and his current diet so thoroughly that it gave me piece of mind that he is getting enough nutrients from what he eats. She also advised some changes to his food to increase the good stuff he’s eating! She gave great advice on how to deal with his aversions (which are related to neurodiversity and so trickier to manage) and we have been making progress since our time with Inside Out Nutrition. Thanks so much for all your help and would recommend to anyone.

Ellen has advised and guided me through the necessary steps in trying to lose weight and continues to do so. I cannot recommend her enough and would not have achieved what I have to date without her terrific and ongoing support.

FAQs

A Paediatric Dietitian is a specialist in children’s nutrition who can help with a wide range of issues, including selective eating, food allergies, growth concerns, and managing medical conditions such as Coeliac disease or ADHD. By assessing your child’s diet and nutrition needs, a Paediatric Dietitian creates a personalised plan to support healthy growth, prevent nutritional deficiencies, and foster a positive relationship with food.

If your child is struggling with mealtime battles, fussy eating, food intolerances, or has unexplained growth issues, a Paediatric Nutritionist can help. Whether it’s trouble transitioning to solids, concerns over allergies or sensitivities, or managing conditions like obesity or undernutrition, a Paediatric Dietitian can provide expert advice and solutions tailored to your child’s unique needs.

During a consultation, the Paediatric Dietitian will assess your child’s eating habits, medical history, and any concerns you may have. You can expect a detailed nutrition assessment, advice on how to improve your child’s diet, and practical strategies to address issues like picky eating, food allergies, or weight management. The goal is to create a realistic, easy-to-follow nutrition plan that fits your family’s lifestyle.

Some common paediatric nutrition concerns we treat include selective eating, food allergies (such as milk, egg, or soy), iron deficiency, coeliac disease, weight management (both underweight and obesity), gastrointestinal issues (like reflux or constipation), and sports nutrition for active children and teens. A Paediatric Dietitian can offer guidance on managing these concerns with personalised nutrition plans.

Yes! We offer both in-person and virtual consultations. Virtual consultations provide convenience and flexibility, allowing you to discuss your child's nutritional needs from the comfort of your own home. Whether you're located in Dublin, across Ireland, or internationally, a virtual session with our Paediatric Dietitian can be arranged to suit your schedule.
